Ans : Naren’s mother meant that like Krishna who guided Arjuna and showed the path to
the innocent people of the universe, Naren should also guide and show the right path to
the innocent people of the world.
2. What did Vivekananda tell in the Parliament of World Religions at Chicago?
Ans : Vivekananda said that every religion preached the same truth. Therefore everybody in
the world should develop a sense of develop brotherhood and love each other.
3. Collect pictures of Swami Vivekananda and write about Swami Vivekananda’s life.
Ans : Vishwanth Datta and Bhuvaneshwari Devi were Narendra’s parents. As a child
Narendra wanted to be a coachman. His mother wished that he should become a coch man
like Krishna. At the age of six he read stories from Ramayana and Mahabharatha. He
wanted to see God. Later he met his real Guru Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and
experienced. God as a wondering monk, he said that education should develop a complete
human being. He fought against the cast system, untouchable, super situations and rituals.
Swami Vivekananda went to U.S.A in 1893 and attended the parliament of World
Religions at Chicago. He said that every religion preached the same truth. Therefore
everybody in the world should develop a sense of brotherhood and love each other. He
established Ramakrishna Mission at Belur Mutt in Culcutta. His Motto is work is worship. He
lived for only 37years, he made the world understand that India was a great country.
