1.) How does Rajaji teach a lesson in ‘discipline’ to his young ADC?
Answer: One of Rajaji’s ADCs forgot to shave one morning and joined him at breakfast. Rajaji said that he looked very sick and he should immediately see a doctor. Immediately the ADC went in his room and stood in front of a mirror to find out what was wrong with him. It was then he realized that he had not shaved that morning. He then shaved and went a lunch-time. Rajaji said that he looked much better. In this way Rajaji taught a lesson of ‘discipline’ to his young ADC.
2.) Why does Minoo Masani draw the attention of the young man towards the words of Abraham Lincoln?
Answer: Minoo Masani wants the young man to learn from the words of Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln’s words motivational to many people. From his words we can learn many things. We learn wise things to be done for discipline. According to him, for prosperity and strength we must not weaken the other section. It is important to have balance between two opposite things. We must always encourage the vices. Our focus should be on the optimism and not on destroying. The future is in the hands of the youth and they need to decide how to shape their future.
