Answer: Amy was sad because she was teased by her school mates.

Answer: Patti Hagadorn was Amy’s mother and she shared exciting news that there is a Christmas wish contest on the radio station and Amy should write a letter to Santa and win a prize.

Answer: Amy’s siter Jamie and Amy’s mom both thought that on the top of Amy’s wish list there will be a three-foot Barbie doll.

Answer: At the radio station, manager Lee Tobin read Amy’s letter. He knew about cerebral palsy and it is about muscle disorder and it can confuse Amy’s school mates who didn’t know about it. So, He called up the local newspaper and published the letter.

Answer: The mayor explained that Amy taught a universal lesson by daring to make a simple wish. “Everyone wants and deserves to be treated with respect, dignity and warmth.” Hence, the mayor officially proclaimed December 21 as Amy’s Day.
 
2.) Write a short note on Amy’s wish.
Answer: Amy was a girl facing Cerebral Palsy, a muscle disorder and due to it she faced many challenges and teasing in her school which made her sad. With the help of her mother Amy participated in the Christmas wish contest at radio station WJLT in Fort Wayne. And using this platform Amy wished a day without teasing. Her wish is completed when her letter to Santa is published in newspaper and she got support from everyone including the mayor of the city.

Nagma had some problem in her ear last year. The doctor thought that it is because of the steel rings she had worn. She was happy that nobody would steal them. Moreover, her father had spent a lot of money to buy a site. The sight of her worried father made the house maid also feel sad. In his diary the father has written the details of money he had got from the dairy. Now Nagma wanted to ask some money to buy a pair of gold rings by next week. But she knew that the father could give money only after the sale of clothes that he bought during his sail to a rich island.

Mariyappa was very hungry. “I must catch plentyof fish this morning,” he said to himself. “If I don’t get some fish, we will not have anything for lunch today. So, he got up and walked into the stream with his net. At last he reached the fishing spot and threw the net into the shallow water. He was able to catch some fish by noon. He put all the fish into a bag. It was getting hot and Mariyappa decided to go to market. The fish market was towards vegetable market.
